Starts with the southbound train describer and a classic passenger information message at Chorleywood station (oh happy days LOL!).
After a brief view inside our train the camera switches to filming out of a side window whilst travelling on the 4 track section south of Moor Park. This is where Metropolitan Line and mainline trains share the fast tracks and local Met. trains use the slow tracks.
We see one of the local trains but as its on an 'all stations' service so we pass it as slows to call at a station.
Just before the girder bridge at Northwood we briefly see (in the distance) a fast northbound Met. train which will eventually pass us out of sight our train's other side.
Further south we catch up with the next southbound 'all stations' train as it accelerates out of North Harrow station, and we parallel it into Harrow On The Hill, where we both make
station stops.
As we leave we pass a northbound Chesham train which is half way through its 19 minute non-stop express working from Finchley Road to Moor Park.
Meanwhile we have now left the tracks which are shared with the Met. trains and are on rails solely used by southbound DMU's heading for Marylebone.
The Met. tracks now split into fast / slow pairs, with the fast tracks on the outside flanking the slow tracks. The Met. train which entered Harrow with us is a fast service, and rapidly showing us a clean pair of heels. Just before passing Northwick Park we pass a train on the slow tracks which is about to call here.
Then comes a stroke of luck. Because of track maintenance the southbound Met. train which had previously left us behind has been slowed to 20mph, and just before passing Wembley Park we pass it (plus other north and southbound Met trains).
This film uses a hand held camcorder looking out of an open window on a southbound class 115 DMU. Because of the open window the sound is a bit iffy at times.
Videotaped at the tail end of the evening rush hour, sometime between 1990 and 1992.

By request, I'd never heard of it but really like it. Tried this without a capo and then a capo on A, but this seems to work best for me.

Miss Aloha & Reverend Boogie (Hula Boogie! vintage music and dance club London) were featured in a documentary called Radio Days in 1998 as part of the Metroland series. Here they can be seen jiving at the fabulous Rivoli Ballroom in South East London.
